Server rules
Builder or hunter-gatherer, in a group or on your own – most ways of playing work here. There are only a few rules to keep to.
The short version is on the board at spawn and on the Minecraft page. Here is what each rule means, in case any of it is unclear. If something still is, ask in the Discord.
- No griefing
- Leave other people's builds, farms and chests alone – including taking something just to borrow it. And if you notice griefing, whether it is happening right now or happened a while ago, say so in the Discord.
- No cheating
- Play the game as it ships. No hacked clients, no x-ray, no fly or reach hacks, no duping exploits – with one exception: TNT duping is allowed. If you are not sure whether a mod or an exploit counts as cheating, ask before you use it.
- Don't create lag on purpose
- Farms and big redstone are the game, not the problem – this rule is about doing it on purpose. Flying machines left looping with nobody around, clocks that drive nothing, thousands of dropped items, entities stacked up to see what breaks: the server is shared hardware, and one contraption can slow the game down for everybody. If something of yours turns out to be the culprit, switch it off and say so.
- No NSFW
- Keep builds, skins, signs, item names and chat safe for everyone. Nothing sexual, nothing gory – the server also shows up on stream.
- No harassment
- Nobody has to earn being treated decently. No slurs, no pile-ons, no following someone around after they asked you to stop. If someone asks you to stop, stop.
- No chat spam
- Don't flood the chat: no repeated messages, no walls of caps, no advertising other servers, no pinging the same person over and over. Say it once and give people time to answer.
- Don't claim next to another claim without asking
- Sharing a border decides where someone can extend, what they look at and who is next to them. Ask before you claim right beside them – almost everyone says yes, the problem is only ever the asking.
- Listen to the mods
- The mods keep the server running and they have the final word in the moment. Do what they ask, and if you think a call was wrong, bring it up in the Discord afterwards rather than arguing in chat.
